I admit that I have an obsession with movies. It started at a young age and continued throughout my lifetime. However, with the advent of the cloud and streaming services, accessing my library from anywhere was the dream.

My wife would tell you that the dream was being able to organize the hardcopies of all of the movies using an alphabetical list. Of course, that meant that they all had to be cataloged. A trivial request, but I like data, I like tinkering—so why not build a robust database?

I have used various tracking devices over the years with and without succes. As I approached the end of 2019 I felt compelled to improve my health and wellness. Not only for myself, but for my family. As such, I wanted a way to ensure that I was more invested in the process. A way to ensure that I was constantly paying attention. In the end, I created my Health Tracker.

The site contains a registration and login, but technically is only for my use. Full details are available regarding my latest health stats and overall progress and I have visual indicators for positive/negative feedback.

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I'm often asked to bring along my large binder of songs when attending family gatherings or even visting family out of town. As you can imagine, traveling with a large binder would take up space that could be used for extra shoes or nice slacks...

When I travelled to visit family in Houston in 2019, the family requested I bring along my song book. Instead, I created a database of my songs, along with chord diagrams for most and placed it on my website. This allowed everyone who wanted to also pull up the songs on their phones to sing along.
